Design of the Deckchair
In 2000 Semnat & Associates Ltd redesigned the deckchairs to reduce the risk of collapse by introducing a new paddle back system and double back safety feature; 4 height grooves and a catch on the back bar. A space has also been introduced between the long bar and ratchet bar to reduce the risk of fingers being caught in the side of the chair. The new design not only took into account client safety and comfort but also satisfied health and safety aspects. All the deckchairs are produced in accordance with the convention of international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora. Furthermore the deckchairs are produced with minimal waste, reducing any negative effects on the environment.
